BRIEF SUMMARY For lull prescribing information, see package circular. ; PHOSPHOLINE IODIDE echothiophate iodide ; PHOSPHOLINE IODIDE is a long-acting cholinesterase inhibitor for topical use. Indications: Glaucoma-Chronic open-angleglaucoma. Subacute or chronic angle-closure glaucoma after iridectomy or where surgery is refused or contraindicated. Certain nonuveitic secondary types of glaucoma, especially glaucoma following cataract surgery. Accommodative esotropia-Concomitant esotropias with a significant accommodative component. Contraindications: 1. Active uveal inflammation. 2. Most cases of angle closure glaucoma, due to the possibility of increasing angle block. 3. Hvpersensitivity to the active or inactive ingredients. Warnings: 1. Use in Pregnancy: Safe use of anticholinesterase medications during pregnancy has not been established, nor has the absence of adverse effects on the fetus or on the respiration of the neonate. 2. Succinylcholine should be administered only with great caution, if at all, prior to or during general anesthesia to patients receiving anticholinesterase medication because of possible respiratory or cardiovascular collapse. 3. Caution should be observed in treating glaucoma with PHOSPHOLINE IODIDE in patients who are at the same time undergoing treatment with systemic anticholinesterase medications for myasthenia gravis, because of possible adverse additive effects. Precautions: 1. Gonioscopy is recommended prior to initiation of therapy. 2. Where there is a quiescent uveitis or a history of this condition , anticholinesterase therapy should be avoided or used cautiously because of the intense and persistent miosis and ciliary muscle contraction that may occur. 3. While systemic effects are infrequent, proper use of the drug requires digital compression of the nasolacrimal ducts for a minute or two following instillation to minimize drainage into the nasal chamber with its extensive absorption area. The hands should be washed immediately following instillation. 4. Temporary discontinuance of medication is necessary if salivation, urinary incontinence, diarrhea, profuse sweating, muscle weakness, respiratory difficulties, or cardiac irregularities occur. 5. Patients receiving PHOSPHOLINE IODIDE who are exposed to carbamate or organophosphate type insecticides and pesticides professional gardeners, farmers, workers in plants.

HYROID hormones THs ; are important regulators of cell growth and metabolism, and the active forms in mammalian species are L-T~ thyroxine T4 ; and its more potent deiodinated metabolite L-T~ T3 ; . These hormones are transported through the vascular space via serum binding proteins and then cross the cell membrane via facilitated carrier-mediated transport to interact with cytosolic, mitochondrial, microsomal, and nuclear binding sites and enzymes l-3 ; . The membrane transport step has been shown to be energy dependent, stereospecific, of high affinity for T3, and essential for cell nuclear binding and metabolism of THs. This purported iodothyronine transporter has been described in rat hepatocytes 4-g ; , rat and human hepatoma cells 10, ll ; , human and mouse neuroblastoma cells 12-15 ; , rat pi.
Late spring is a wonderful time of year. Time to get those beds in good shape for your summer flowering perennials. Don't forget to augment your soil with good quality compost and top off the soil with mulch to preserve moisture at the plant root. This helps you to water less and provides a natural pest protection barrier. Spending a little time each year adding to your soil foundation will pay off with a healthier and more beautiful garden. New plant for 2005. I always love to see what is new at the nursery and I'm told this will be a hot one. Callistemon Citrinns or Dwarf BottlebrushLittle John. This little evergreen produces a mass of blood red blooms covering the blue-green bottlebrush leaves. Its' dwarf size is excellent for small gardens but will spread to 5 feet given the opportunity. It likes full sun and only needs occasional water once established. Its' drought tolerant so find a hot spot in your garden and let it bloom! Plant tip: I haven't tried this one but if you're tired of trying to prevent black spot on your roses try this. Dry corn meal around the base of your rose at soil level is supposed to prevent this ugly systemic problem. Don't know about you, but I'll try any natural application at least once. I'll let you know how it works this season. Next time. Shady Selections for the typical Northwest Garden and halcion.

Michael Hildebrandt and Michael Harrison Department of Computer Science University of York, York YO10 5DD, UK Tel: + 44-1904-433376, Fax: + 44-1904-432767 cs.york.ac Abstract: A possible route to managing workload peaks facilitated by advances in technology is to use Dynamic Function Allocation, in other words to design work so that it is possible to switch adaptively between levels of automation. In the main, current approaches to Dynamic Function Allocation assume that functions are to be serviced as soon as possible, and in order of arrival. These methods utilise online allocation decisions along the human-automation resource dimension. Dynamic Function Scheduling takes a different approach and considers the organisation of functions along a joint human-automation timeline using scheduling mechanisms developed for real-time embedded systems. This paper highlights the limitations of Dynamic Function Allocation as currently considered and argues for the introduction of a temporal dimension to work design. Time-related trade-offs faced by the system designer e.g. flexibility vs. simplicity ; and the operator e.g. value-based scheduling decisions ; are discussed.
The processes of nucleomorph-to-host-nucleus gene transfer and nucleomorph genome reduction, and to begin to understand why nucleomorphs have been retained in cryptomonads and chlorarachniophytes but have been lost in all other secondary plastid-containing algae, it is necessary to explore the diversity of nucleomorph genomes among different members of both groups. To that end, we are investigating the structure and composition of nucleomorph genomes in diverse cryptomonads using the complete nucleomorph genome of G. theta as a reference Douglas et al. 2001 ; . Here we present PFGE data indicating that the presence of three nucleomorph chromosomes is a common feature of all cryptomonads investigated thus far and that some species have nucleomorph genomes over 800 kb in size, much larger than that of G. theta. A comparison of nucleomorph genome fragments obtained by long-range polymerase chain reaction PCR ; from Hanusia phi CCMP325 and Proteomonas sulcata CCMP704 with the G. theta genome provides insight into the concerted evolution of cryptomonad nucleomorph chromosome ends. Materials and Methods DNA Extraction, PCR, Cloning, and Sequencing Cryptomonad cultures were obtained from public culture collections table 1 ; and grown in the laboratory under designated conditions. DNA was extracted from cell pellets using a Tris-HCl digestion buffer 200 mM Tris-HCl pH 7.5 ; , 250 mM NaCl, 25 mM ethyleneglycol-bis aminoethylether ; -tetraacetic acid, 0.5% sodium dodecyl sulfate ; at 50C for 10 min. After incubation, samples were centrifuged for 5 min at 15, 0003g, and the aqueous phase was subjected to two rounds of protein extraction with phenol and chloroform. Nucleic acids were precipitated from the aqueous layer and following centrifugation, pellets were washed and rehydrated in 50 ll water and stored at 20C. PCR was used to amplify nucleomorph 18S rDNA, hsp90, ubc4-hsp90, 18S rDNA-ubc4, and 18S rDNAhsp90 gene fragments. For 18S rDNA amplifications, primers were designed to preferentially amplify the nucleomorph copy of the gene CrNMSSU.F1-- CAGTAGTCATATGCTTGTCTTAAG and CrNMSSU.R1-- TGTACAAAGGGCAGGGACGTATTCAGC ; . The thermal profile for PCR amplification of 18S rDNA included an initial denaturation cycle of 94C for 5 min followed by 45 cycles of 94C for 30 s, 50C for 1 min, and 72C for 4 min. A final extension step was performed at 72C for 10 min followed by storage at 10C until the samples were processed. For hsp90, a degenerate set of primers hsp90F3--GCACCATTYGAYCTNTTYGANCC and ; was designed based on an alignment of diverse eukaryotic hsp90 amino acid sequences. Reactions were performed as above with annealing temperatures of 4855C and an extension time of 2 min. Long-range PCR was also used to amplify nucleomorph genome fragments between the 18S rDNA and ubc4 loci in H. phi and hpubc4.R1--GGAGCTGATTGAGAGTAATACC ; and between the 18S rDNA and hemocyte.
In this reaction occurs a suicidal inactivation of the PPO by the catechol formed in this same reaction. To avoid this problem some authors suggest the use of complexing polymers such as chitosan to protect the enzyme Kameda, 2003 ; . PPO can also be used to treat waste water containing phenols, to remove xenobiotic compounds or as a phenol biosensor Duran and Esposito, 2000 ; . The technology to oxidize and precipitate selectively the guarana tannins without affecting the caffeine concentrations of the extracts was studied using tannic acid as a model compound and an aqueous extract of guarana. The oxidations, both in the model solution and the guarana extracts was carried in anaerobic and in aerobic conditions with bubbling air trough the solution, in alkaline conditions called the "alkaline process" ; and in the presence of an enzyme -polyphenoloxidase PPO ; - freshly extracted from the mushroom Agaricus bisporus. The reactions were monitored using UV spectroscopy, and the concentrations of total tannins and caffeine were compared for each reaction condition studied.
Taken together, our data suggested that CYC202 was able to induce high levels of apoptosis and killing in all B-CLL samples including those shown to be defective in irradiation and fludarabine-induced apoptosis. Over the time course studied CYC202 was capable of inducing apoptosis and killing B-CLL cells in vitro more rapidly than fludarabine, regardless of ATM TP53 gene status and heparin.

Moreover, in both groups, to assess the role of LH and progesterone to predict the outcome of IUI cycles, we compared the mean serum value of LH and progesterone, on the day of hCG administration, in pregnant and non-pregnant cycles. In group A, we did not find any statistical difference for both LH and progesterone mean values in pregnant and in non-pregnant cycles 2.33 1.7 mIU ml for LH and 1.06 0.72 ng ml for progesterone, in pregnant cycles; 3.53 3.61 mIU ml for LH and 1.32 1.16 ng ml for progesterone, in non-pregnant cycles ; . In group B, LH and progesterone were significantly lower in pregnant cycles 5.21 3.08 mIU ml for LH and 1.06 0.89 ng ml for progesterone ; compared with non-pregnant cycles 10.4 8.03 mIU ml for LH and 2.20 1.98 ng ml for progesterone; P 0.011 and P 0.02, respectively ; . The total number of clinical pregnancies achieved was 44 28 obtained in group A and 16 in group B ; . Of these 44 pregnancies, 5 were twins, 4 observed in group A and 1 in group B. No high-order multiple pregnancies were observed. No pregnancy was achieved in the four cycles in which no hormonal assessment was performed. Thus, the clinical pregnancy rate per patient was 53.8% in group A 28 of and 30.8% in group B 16 of with a significant difference between the two groups P 0.017 ; Table III ; . Pregnancy rate per cycle and cumulative pregnancy rate are summarized as `life table analysis' Table IV ; . The number of dropouts, for each cycle, is reported in the same table. With regard to power analysis, correlated to our results, H0: PA PB can be refused 0.05 ; and the corresponding power of test 1 ; is 0.62.

However, our estimate of future stock-based compensation expense is affected by our stock price, the number of stock-based awards we may grant in 2006, as well as a number of complex and subjective valuation assumptions and the related tax impact. SFAS No. 151, "Inventory Costs, an amendment of ARB No. 43, Chapter 4." In November 2004, the FASB issued SFAS No. 151, "Inventory Costs, an amendment of Accounting Research Bulletin, or ARB, No. 43, Chapter 4." SFAS No. 151, which clarifies that abnormal amounts of idle facility expense, freight, handling costs and wasted material spoilage ; should be recognized as current period charges in all circumstances. We have adopted SFAS No. 151 effective January 1, 2006. We do not believe that the adoption of SFAS No. 151 will have a material impact on our financial position or results of operations. SFAS No. 154, "Accounting Changes and Error Corrections, a replacement of APB Opinion No. 20 and FASB Statement No. 3." In May 2005, the FASB issued SFAS No. 154, "Accounting Changes and Error Corrections, a replacement of APB Opinion No. 20 and FASB Statement No. 3." SFAS No. 154 applies to all voluntary changes in accounting for and reporting of changes in accounting principles and requires retrospective application to prior periods' financial statements of a voluntary change in accounting principles unless it is not practical to do so. APB Opinion No. 20, "Accounting Changes, " previously required that most voluntary changes in accounting principles be recognized by including in net income loss ; of the period of the change, the cumulative effect of changing to the new accounting principle. SFAS No. 154 also requires that a change in depreciation, amortization, or depletion method for long-lived non-financial assets be accounted for as a change in accounting estimate affected by a change in accounting principle. SFAS No. 154 is effective for accounting changes and corrections of errors made in fiscal years beginning after December 15, 2005. We have adopted SFAS No. 154 effective January 1, 2006. We do not expect the adoption of SFAS No. 154 to have a material impact on our financial position or results of operations. FIN 47, "Accounting for Conditional Asset Retirement Obligations, an interpretation of FASB Statement No, 143." In March 2005, the FASB issued FIN 47, "Accounting for Conditional Asset Retirement Obligations, an interpretation of FASB Statement No. 143." A conditional asset retirement obligation refers to a legal obligation to retire assets where the timing and or method of settlement are conditioned on future events. FIN 47 requires an entity to recognize a liability for the fair value of a conditional asset retirement obligation when incurred if the liability's fair value can be reasonably estimated. We adopted the provisions of FIN 47 in 2005. The adoption of this Interpretation did not have a material impact on our consolidated financial position, results of operations or cash flows and guarana.

| AT HOME IN THE TIPI Our kitchen is to the right of the door as you enter the tipi. A series of custom made shelves make a nice kitchen pantry. For keeping fruits and vegetables from freezing in the winter we bury a storage cooler near the door hole. With the top of the cooler at ground level or with an inch or two of insulation on top in very cold climates ; the cooler used the earth's warmth to keep veggies from freezing. Water and other liquids can be stored in this manner also. Likewise, in summer the buried cooler will keep foods and liquids cool. Grains etc. Should be kept in glass jars. If you leave a small stash of grains and loose cloth in a cubby hold somewhere you can usually discourage any small rodents from raiding other food supplies or clothing. For the tipi floor we use a layering effect. On the ground we put a waterproof tarp as a vapor barrier. Next we put down a large piece of carpet that is cut to fit the entire tipi. A 3 ft. diameter hole is then cut in the tarp and carpet for the fire and fire ring. Then we put our nice indian rugs down on the carpet as the final layer. This "layer" system offers excellent insulation. Putting this layer system on top of a bed of small rock or gravel makes an excellent floor foundation. PAINTING DESIGNS: Either oils or acrylics are fine for paining designs we recommend exterior house paint for your tipi cover. To achieve our "antique wash" look use semi transparent stains. To create the ultimate look for panted liner designs use artists oil base paint from the tube, to achieve this dee, rich look in your colors you must first paint your entire design in gesso. This is an artists preparation material that is similar to a very thing plaster. It can be purchased at any art store. A beautiful stained glass effect can be achieved by painting designs on the inside of the tipi cover above the tipi liner. For these designs you must use inks. Use only high quality artists drawing ink. Ink designs will not soak through the canvas. WOOD STOVES may be desirable in very cold climates but you must not run the smoke stack up between the smoke flaps. That is too much heat near the canvas. If you do this the canvas will rapidly dry out, become brittle and may ignite due to the excessive hear near the top of the tipi. Your smoke stack should only be 4 to ft. high above the stove. This way the smoke goes up as it would from an open fire and is cool by the time it reaches the top of the tipi. All smoke stack pipes should be triple wall insulated pipe that is approved by your local building codes. Our tipis are designed for a two food diameter open fire at ground level. USE COMMON SENSE AND GOOD JUDGEMENT. Do not build an excessively large fire and do not leave it unattended.
The diameter of the artery. They can also see just how much plaque is in there and how serious the problem may be As we travel down the vessel pulling back with an ivus catheter, it actually sees segment by segment, millimeter by millimeter, how each frame shows its disease from the inside of the artery. In addition to helping view blockages, doctors say they can see how well the wire cage of a stent has expanded and whether its fitting properly. Thats a key factor in patients long- term success. Because of the accuracy of the ivus, patients save money because it often eliminates the need for follow-up procedures. Thats your healthbeat news for five.
